Tverken is located at the end of Tverkenveien, close to popular hiking destinations such as Aronsløypa and Landfalltjern. The location makes the place an attractive destination for families with children and hikers who want to explore the area. It is a short distance to fishing spots at Goliaten and Tverråsvann, as well as viewpoints such as Skimten and Tverråsen. It is also possible to swim in Skinka, which is only two minutes away.
The cafeteria offers hot drinks, waffles and kiosk products, and is run by volunteer host groups. Tverken has facilities for both young and old, with good access for strollers. It is also possible to rent the venue for sports teams, school classes and birthday parties. Accommodation on mattresses in dormitories is also available. The place is open every weekend until Christmas.
