Abu Bakar Mosque is located at Smithestrømsveien 5 in Drammen and was established in 2004. The mosque serves as a gathering place for Muslims of various nationalities and offers five daily prayers as well as weekly Friday sermons. In addition to the religious activities, communal cooking is organized to support charitable causes, and during Ramadan, open communal meals are held.
In 2018, the mosque's sacred room, which also functions as a cultural center, was opened. The room is equipped with carpets and special basins for ritual purification, adapted to the mosque's prayer traditions. Visitors are asked to take off their shoes and respect the silence during prayer, which contributes to a calm and respectful atmosphere for reflection and community.
