Risdal Tower is a popular hiking destination that offers a moderately demanding hike of 12.4 kilometers round trip. The hike includes a total elevation gain of 366 meters and passes through several scenic green areas. The tower, which was completed in 2008, is 10 meters high and offers visitors a great view of the Drammen district.
At the foot of the tower there is a campfire and seating, which provides opportunities for rest and recreation. Risdal Tower is equipped with a tour book and sighting plates showing the cardinal directions. Along the route is Hellashytta, which offers catering on Sundays and holidays, which can be a pleasant stop for hikers.
