Oslofjord Logistikk AS, established in 2013 under the name Kopstad Godsterminal Utvikling, aims to offer a modern freight terminal as a replacement for existing terminals in the Drammen area. The company has focused on developing a hub for freight transport and logistics, with a strategic location in Horten municipality, between the Vestfold Line and E-18. The terminal area is close to both the port of Horten and the port area in Holmestrand, which contributes to efficient freight transport.
The company has collaborated with Norsk Gjenvinning for the development of the land area, and has also been involved in the design of double tracks on the Vestfold Line that will be connected to the terminal area. Oslofjord Logistikk AS emphasizes sustainable development and modern logistics solutions, and has established a high-capacity branch to ensure efficient transport of goods. The idea of developing a freight terminal at Kopstad was first proposed by Lars Hellik Strøm in 2006, who saw the need for a new wagonload terminal on the west side of the Oslofjord.
