The Joint Union (FO) Viken is a trade union with around 5,900 members, including student members. The organization's main goal is to improve its members' pay and working conditions, as well as to carry out health and social policy advocacy work. FO Viken also looks after professional interests, which is a central part of its activities.
To support its elected representatives, FO Viken offers courses and events, as well as a separate elected representative portal with tools that can be used in their work. The organization organizes professional conferences, such as "Addiction and Substance Abuse", and publishes newsletters with information on current issues and topics that affect its members. FO Viken is affiliated with the National Confederation of Trade Unions in Norway (LO).
