Norwegian People's Aid Drammen and Sande is a voluntary organization that operates a wide range of humanitarian services both nationally and internationally. The organization has volunteers all over the country and is actively working in approximately 35 countries. It offers first aid and rescue services, and has a special focus on community involvement and solidarity. Through the Solidarity Youth program, young people are involved in important humanitarian issues.
As a democratic member organization, Norwegian People's Aid also offers courses and resources for elected officials, which strengthens their internal structure and competence. The organization works with mine clearance and disarmament, and aims to protect civilians from explosive hazards. Norwegian People's Aid is known as the trade union movement's humanitarian solidarity organization, and their work is characterized by a strong commitment to human rights and humanitarian aid.
