The Åssiden Senior Center Foundation is a meeting place for seniors in Drammen, located at Åkerveien 4. The center offers a variety of services and activities that are tailored to the needs of seniors. Here, visitors can enjoy homemade dinner, coffee, rolls and cakes on weekdays. In addition to serving, the center has an activity room where various events and courses are held.
The center has a varied range of activities that include fitness for women, petanque, woodcarving courses, singing evenings, knitting café, cozy evenings, Canasta club and computer guidance. There are also opportunities to rent meeting rooms. Hairdressing and foot therapy services are also offered, as well as training in the use of smartphones. Åssiden Senior Center also organizes seasonal activities such as a Christmas fair and provides opportunities for volunteer work.
