Glasopor AS, department Onsøy, is a market-leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly lightweight fill and granular building materials made from 100% recycled material. The company specializes in solutions for projects that require efficient filling on poor ground. In addition, they have recently introduced electric foam glass furnaces as part of their green initiative. Glasopor collaborates with Glava and Stena Recycling to recycle glass wool, which underlines their commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.
The factory on Onsøy, established in 2012, is one of Glasopor's two production facilities. The company is part of the Foamit Group, which is recognized as one of the world's leading manufacturers of foam glass. Glasopor AS is ISO certified and continuously works on improvements in quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety management and energy management. In 2025, they will participate in the Park and Construction Fair, and the opening of a new factory in the "circular capital" will mark an important milestone for Norwegian industry.
