Fredrikstad Model Flight Club is an organization that focuses on model flying and related activities. The club offers beginner courses for children and youth, which allows young enthusiasts to learn basic skills in model flying. In addition, the club organizes Luftsportens dag, where interested parties can gain insight into various aspects of air sports.
The activities of the club include model aircraft, helicopters, motor aircraft and gliders. Gansrød model airport is available to members, but guests have the opportunity to fly with a member. The club also participates in events such as Children's Sports Day and Children's Activity Day, which help to promote interest in air sports among younger generations. In order to improve flying conditions, the club has a project with a weather station, and great emphasis is placed on safety and technical information for members.
