Balaklava is a historic building in Fredrikstad, built in 1783 by merchant Peter Bull. The building has had several uses over the years, including residence, hotel and pharmacy. It was converted into a hotel in 1875, and has since been known as "Balaklava". The pharmacy in the building was in operation until 1971, which adds to the building's rich history.

Today, Balaklava houses the Balaklava Cultural Society, which organizes exhibitions and cultural activities. The building also contains guest rooms for rent, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the place up close. The architecture is characterized by a high mansard roof, typical of the 18th century, and the windows, which date from the 1870s, were originally small-paned. Balaklava has a significant local history and folklore associated with it, making it an interesting destination for visitors.
