Brynild AS is a family-owned company with roots dating back to 1895, and has established itself as a significant player in food production in Norway. The company is unique in being Norway's only chocolate, confectionery and nut factory under one roof. Brynild AS produces well-known brands such as Den Lille Nøttefabrikken, Dent, Brynild, Minde Sjokolade and St. Michael, which have become popular with consumers.
In addition to its own production, Brynild AS acts as a distributor for NIVEA and Bazooka Candy Brands in Norway. The company also has a focus on sustainability, which is expressed through packaging innovations, such as Minde Banan with 8% less plastic. Brynild AS is still family-owned, with the Brynildsen family as owners, and the company also owns the Troll-gott candy factory in Sweden.
