Norwegian People's Aid Nedre Glomma is a member-based humanitarian organization with roots in the trade union movement. The organization has a broad network of volunteers, both nationally and internationally, with activities in approximately 35 countries. It aims to promote community engagement, solidarity and inclusion through various programs and initiatives.
The organization offers services such as first aid and rescue services, and is actively involved in mine clearance and the protection of civilians. In addition, Norwegian People's Aid has a focus on youth, with activities such as the Sanitetsungdom (Medical Youth), which gives young people opportunities to engage in humanitarian work. As a democratic member organization, it has local branches spread throughout Norway, which give members the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes and local initiatives.
