Østreim Treprodukter is a sole proprietorship established in 2001 and located in Grimstad. The company specializes in the production of garden furniture, with a main focus on Adirondack garden chairs, as well as related products such as tables, footstools and stools. The furniture is made of Norwegian short-cropped oak from Agder, known for its durability, strength and hardness.
The company has control over the entire production process, from sawing the timber to drying, processing, assembly and delivery. The oak furniture is almost maintenance-free and is designed to withstand various weather conditions. Over time, the oak develops a sought-after gray patina, which gives the furniture a unique character. Oak has a long growth cycle, which takes 500 years, which gives it a special status within wood production.
