Agder Kommunale Støttetjenester is a municipal task force established between Arendal and Grimstad municipalities. The company specializes in providing support services within payroll, accounting, mail and archives. It serves not only the two municipalities, but also ten companies and 20 endowments and foundations. With 38 full-time employees and 40 employees, the company focuses on streamlining municipal services and improving administration and resource management.
The company is organized as a separate legal entity, and the general manager reports to a board consisting of representatives from both Arendal and Grimstad municipalities, as well as an employee representative. The board meets monthly to ensure that the company meets the municipal needs and adapts to the requirements of the public sector.
