Vocational College of Agder, located in Grimstad, offers a range of higher vocational education. The school has developed its programs in collaboration with the working world and the public sector, ensuring that the education is relevant and adapted to today's needs. With 19 different education options available, including full-time, part-time and online studies, about half of the students have chosen online options. The school has experienced significant growth since its inception in 2020, with over 1,000 students.
The vocational college in Agder focuses on offering practice-oriented education that provides competence that can be immediately applied in the workplace. The education programs have a scope of 30 to 120 credits and are approved by the National Agency for Quality in Education (NOKUT). This entitles students to loans and grants from the Norwegian Loan Fund. In addition, the school participates in development projects and industry forums to ensure that the education programs remain relevant. New education programs such as Clinical Competence and Building Protection already have waiting lists, indicating great interest in the offer.
