Harekas Kanvas kindergarten is located in scenic surroundings near Tistedal and Fredriksten Festning. The kindergarten has three departments: Kruttårnet for children aged 0-3 years, Kanonkula for 2-6 year olds, and Saluten for 3-6 year olds. With 18 employees with varied backgrounds, the kindergarten has a variety of skills that contribute to a stimulating learning environment.
The kindergarten is equipped with large, bright departments and common rooms, including a sensory room, gym room and water room. The outdoor area has a challenging playground with varied play equipment, which gives children the opportunity to explore and develop through play. Harekas Kanvas kindergarten has a focus on unity, recognition, respect and tolerance, and emphasizes children's interests and development. The kindergarten became part of Kanvas in the summer of 2023, which is Norway's largest non-profit kindergarten foundation.
