Halden Sanitetsforening was founded on June 7, 1905 by women in Halden with the aim of working for women's health and safe lives for all. The association has a wide range of activities and services, including foot care and clover walks. In addition, they offer party rooms that can be rented for various events.
The association has also established the girls' group 'Sisterhood' and a boys' group, which provide opportunities for socializing and support among members. Halden Sanitetsforening annually contributes significant funds, between 20 and 25 million kroner, to research and development in women's health. They are also involved in projects related to mental health and offer volunteer work where the need is greatest.
