Halden Atletklubb, founded in 1911, is Halden's oldest wrestling club and offers a varied training program for both children and adults. The club has activities for children from the age of 6, including a free wrestling school that focuses on play and mastery. From the age of 12, there are age-specific classes, and members have the opportunity to participate in training regardless of skill level.
Training includes various wrestling styles, including Greco-Roman style for boys, freestyle for both boys and girls, as well as activities such as sumo, beach wrestling and hand wrestling. The club emphasizes weight classes to ensure fair competition. Halden Atletklubb also organizes the Fredriksten Cup as part of its activities and holds an annual meeting for members with voting rights from the age of 15. New wrestlers are always welcome to try the training.
