Halden Idrettslag was founded on April 27, 1912 and thus has a long history in sports and activities. In 2025, the team will celebrate 113 years. The team offers activities for children over 6 years old, youth and seniors, and has training at Halden Stadium in the summer and Porsnes Hallen in the winter.
The team organizes several track events and large races, including Byløpet and Fredrikstenstafetten. There are also opportunities for active membership, where members can participate in club championships. Halden Idrettslag has an environmental contact available for support and help, and collaborates with Sparebank 1 Østfold-Akershus on various events.
