Spinneriboden is a preserved sea shed from Halden's Cotton Mill & Væveri, and represents one of the few antiquarian buildings from the 18th century that survived the city fire of 1826. The building has a central location in the center of Halden, near Tista Senter, which makes it easily accessible to visitors and residents.
Since 1971, Spinneriboden has been proposed for protection, but no decision has yet been made on the matter. Halden Municipality, together with the current owners, has carried out important restoration work to preserve the building's historical value. Spinneriboden is recognized as a valuable cultural monument with significance for the city's history and cultural heritage.
