Protid Ur & Sånn has its origins in 1911, when watchmaker O. Johannesen started his business at Østre Torg in Hamar. Since then, three generations of the family have run the shop, and it has developed into a local player with long experience in the watchmaking profession. Steinar Lilleaker has also played a central role in the operation, and has continued the tradition of quality repairs and service.
The shop offers a unique parts warehouse that enables repairs of both mechanical and electrical watches, as well as measuring instruments. Protid Ur & Sånn has for many years been responsible for repairs for various institutions, including Kraftselskap, Vinmonopolet's rectification plant and Norges Statsbaner. In addition to repair services, they sell well-known brands such as Raymond Weil, Tissot, Certina and Seiko. The shop also offers insurance and financing, as well as the right to exchange products.
