Ankerskogen Disc Golf was founded on April 10, 1986 by a group of young enthusiasts with an interest in disc golf. The course is located in Ankerskogen and has undergone several changes since its inception. In 2024, the course was rebuilt from a 27-hole layout to a complete 18-hole course, which offers varied challenges for players of different skill levels. In addition, there is a 13-hole course at Børstad, which is specially designed for beginners.
Activity at Ankerskogen Disc Golf has increased significantly after the Norwegian Cup was organized in 2011. The facility hosts both the Norwegian Cup and the Norwegian Championship, which helps to promote the sport in the region. Weekly weekly golf and weekend flex are also offered, both in Ankerskogen and at Børstad, which gives players the opportunity to participate in organized activities throughout the season.
