The Rolf Jacobsen Center is located at Skappels gate 2 in Hamar, in what was once the home of the renowned Norwegian poet Rolf Jacobsen. The center is dedicated to his life and writings, and aims to create a unique atmosphere for the dissemination of his work. Jacobsen is known for his poems, which have been translated into more than 30 languages, which is a testament to his international importance.
As the only literary museum in Norway dedicated to a poet, the Rolf Jacobsen Center will document and disseminate his writings in the environment in which the poems were created. The center has received support from Hamar Municipality and Hedmark, which underlines the local interest in preserving and promoting Jacobsen's literary legacy.
