Hamar Cultural Center, opened on March 14, 2014, is a modern cultural and meeting point in Hamar. The building, designed by Tegnestuen Vandkunsten from Denmark, is centrally located by the city's largest square and shopping street. With an area of 15,000 m², the cultural center houses concert halls, theater halls, cinema, library, gallery, restaurant, as well as rehearsal rooms and studios.
The cultural center offers a varied program with concerts, theater performances, stand-up and children's performances, as well as professional lectures and other cultural events. It serves as the home ground for Hamar Library, Hamar Cultural School and Hamar Kino, and has a focus on both entertainment and artistic development. The house is known for attracting well-known artists, such as KORK and Leonhard Baumgartner, and has daily activities that appeal to all age groups.
