The center aims to create a safe and supportive environment, where users can receive information, guidance and participate in social activities. Nok. Hamar offers individual and group conversations and arranges various activities and gatherings to promote community and support.
The center also functions as a professional resource for school classes, teachers, health personnel and other professionals, with a focus on guidance and education related to issues of sexual abuse. Nok. Hamar was established under the name SMISO Hamar, but changed its name at the end of 2020. The center has moved to new premises at Kristin Lavransdatters veg 18 in Hamar.
