Sagatun User-Controlled Center is a non-profit organization that offers a varied program for people living in the Hamar region who are facing various life challenges. The center focuses on creating a social community and offers a number of courses and coping services for both users and their relatives. Among the services is the "Toolbox for User Participation", which includes courses in self-empowerment, as well as activities that promote life coping.
Sagatun also has a Recovery School with national offerings, and functions as a supportive environment for health and welfare services. In addition to teaching and guidance, the center offers internships for students and experienced consultants. The emphasis is on strengthening user participation in the services and developing user-controlled services. The center has a café that provides opportunities for socializing, and all services are drug-free.
