110 Finnmark is an emergency call box located in Hammerfest, and represents Norway's oldest barracks-based fire department. The organization has two main departments, which include both preventive work and emergency preparedness. This provides a holistic approach to fire protection and rescue, where the different departments work closely together to ensure safety in the local community.
The fire department is responsible for supervising specific fire objects, and carries out preventive work that includes supervision and sweeping. In addition, they work with the municipality and developers to ensure that fire safety is maintained in new and existing buildings. The management consists of fire/rescue manager Arne Myrseth, prevention manager Arild Johansen, and emergency preparedness manager Frank Rune Ellingsen, who work together to maintain a high level of preparedness and safety in the area.
