DNT Storfjellhytta is a day trip hut located on Storfjellet in Hammerfest. The hut opened in 2018 and is designed for day trips, without overnight accommodation. It is accessible by car in the summer, as well as by bicycle, making it easily accessible for visitors. The hut has a wood stove that can be used for heating, and it is stroller-friendly, making it suitable for families.
Storfjellhytta is a collaboration between DNT and Hammerfest and Omegn Turlag, and it offers a SjekkUT function that allows visitors to collect mountain peaks and hiking destinations. Membership in the Norwegian Tourist Association gives discounts on accommodation in other huts, although Storfjellhytta itself does not offer accommodation. The hut serves as a popular stopover for hikers and nature lovers in the area.
