The Northern Norway Festival was first held in Harstad in 1965 and has since developed into an annual international arts festival. The festival takes place over eight days in June, in conjunction with the summer solstice, and focuses on music, theatre, dance and performing arts. With its location at 68° north, the Festival is firmly rooted in the north and aims to promote creative processes, artistic exchange and local unity.

The festival includes an inclusive talent programme for artists with disabilities and supports student projects as well as young artists in the fields of text and theatre. In addition to the artistic elements, the development of a new play and sensory park for children is planned, with a focus on design and safety for children, families and young people. In 2023, the band No. 4 will perform for the first time in Harstad during the festival, which also promises an evening of warmth, sing-alongs and musical magic. The Festival is also looking for a strategic marketing and communications manager to strengthen its position in the arts and culture field in the north.
