Trondenes Historical Center in Harstad is a museum that presents the region's history from the Stone Age to the 1950s. The museum has 18 attractions covering different historical periods, with a particular focus on the Viking Age, the Middle Ages, the 19th century and World War II. The exhibitions give visitors insight into industrial history and the post-war period, as well as a presentation of Outsider Art.
The center offers interactive exhibitions that provide an opportunity to experience cultural history in an engaging way. In addition, various activities are arranged, such as "Knowledge for the Evening", where themes from history are highlighted. One of the newest attractions is the unveiling of a chandelier in the stave church, which contributes to the overall experience of the center.
