NMK Harstad, established on November 20, 1990, is a motorsport club that owns and operates Harstad Motorsport Senter, located in Åsegarden, approximately 5 km from the center of Harstad. The facility is FIA-approved and functions as a combined training and competition center for various motorsport disciplines, including motocross, autocross, radio-controlled cars and karting. The club has an active membership base and focuses on providing a community for motorsport enthusiasts.
Harstad Motorsport Senter is not only a place for competitions, but also accessible to the general public, as well as to state, county and municipal institutions. The area is used by local driving schools for practice driving and mandatory training for motorcycles and snowmobiles. In addition, the club cooperates with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and traffic schools for run-ups and safety training on closed facilities. NMK Harstad is also involved in local motorsport initiatives and organizes various competitions and events to promote motorsport in the region.
