Bakehuset Hauge & Lindaas was established in 1924 and thus has a long history as a bakery in Haugesund. The business started with the purchase of the Haugesund municipal bakery and has since then been an important player in the local community. In 1987, the bakery was expanded, and after a fire in 1989 it was rebuilt, which has helped to maintain the tradition of freshly baked bread in the area.
The bakery supplies a wide range of baked goods from Stord to Boknafjorden, and offers local specialties such as French bread, Grovbrød with syrup and Spleisebrød. In 2024, Bakehuset Hauge & Lindaas celebrates 100 years of baking joy, which marks an important milestone in their history.
