Our Savior's Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Haugesund, established in 1911. The cemetery is part of a network of six cemeteries in the city, the oldest of which, Christine Elisabeth's Cemetery, was established in 1892. Røvær Cemetery, which was established in 1901, has a historical background linked to a major shipwreck. In addition, there is Nordre Hauge Cemetery from 1876 and Søndre Hauge Cemetery, which was established in 1963.
Udland Cemetery has undergone significant expansions and now covers an area of just under 40 acres. After these expansions, 2,637 new graves and 526 new urn graves have become available. The cemetery also includes a memorial garden that has the capacity to house several memorials. Our Savior's Cemetery thus contributes to preserving the memory of those who have passed away in Haugesund.
