Haugesund Kayak Club is a part-time club that offers kayaking courses for different age groups, allowing both beginners and experienced paddlers to develop their skills. The club also organizes Outdoor Activities Day, where participants have the opportunity to try kayaking and experience the joys of the outdoors. With an active youth group led by a new activity leader, the club focuses on engaging younger members and creating an inclusive environment.
The club organizes several annual events, including Havnedagene and the Tidspokakløpet, which help to strengthen the community among members. Community paddling is an important part of the club's activities, and promotes social cohesion. Members have access to a boathouse and training room, and the club places great emphasis on safety by following paddling etiquette and HSE regulations. In addition, they use a star system for grading conditions when paddling, which ensures a safe and informed experience for all participants.
