Haugesund Turistforening is an organization affiliated with the Norwegian Tourist Association and aims to promote active, versatile and environmentally friendly outdoor life. The association covers the entire Haugalandet region, from Utsira to the Etnefjellene mountains, and has approximately 7,000 members. Through their work, they contribute to preserving the natural and cultural values of the region.
The organization arranges organized tours and activities, and has several affiliated hiking groups, including Sauda, Vindafjord and Etne. In addition, Haugesund Turistforening offers cabins and hiking tips for outdoor enthusiasts. With a vision of "Nature experiences for life", they facilitate opportunities for volunteer work and membership, which gives individuals the chance to get involved in outdoor life and nature conservation.
