Haugesund Motorboat Association was founded in 1947 and currently has 560 members. The association is responsible for the operation of municipal marinas in Haugesund, and offers approximately 270 berths. Allocation of berths is based on seniority and boat size, which can lead to long waiting lists, which in some cases can be up to 14 years.
The board of the association consists of elected representatives from the members, which gives the members a voice in the management of the association's activities. Haugesund Motorboat Association is actively working to open up more areas to increase the number of available berths. The marina is strategically located with a short distance to various facilities, making it attractive to boaters.
