Haugesund Theatre is the institutional theatre for North Rogaland and offers a varied programme that includes both classic and modern performances. The theatre stages comedies, children's performances and guest performances, and has shown plays such as "Brødrene Løvehjerte" and "Platons Drikkegilde". In addition to traditional theatre performances, they also offer improvisational theatre for both children and adults.
The theatre focuses on innovation, humour and strong experiences, and works to give the entire Haugalandet region access to quality theatre. In connection with this, a Jon Fosse centre is planned in a new building, which will strengthen the theatre's offer and presence in the region. During the Christmas season, open performances and special corporate offers are arranged, which provides opportunities for different audience groups to experience the theatre's diversity.
