The Grim Kindergarten in Kristiansand offers a small and intimate setting with 32 places divided into two departments: Blue for children aged 1-2 years and Green for children aged 3-5 years. The kindergarten emphasizes respect for human dignity and inclusion, which is reflected in their pedagogical approach. A weekly program has been prepared with fixed theme days that promote play, wonder and independence in the children.
The kindergarten has access to beautiful hiking areas nearby, which provides opportunities for varied activities and exploration of nature. The Grim Kindergarten builds its pedagogical work on the framework plan's seven subject areas, which include language, mathematics, motor skills, creativity, social competence, and nature and the environment. Through a heart culture, children's development is prioritized, and the goal is that every child should be seen, heard and cared for in their everyday lives.
