Sørlandets Matfestival is an annual festival that takes place in Kristiansand on the second weekend of July. The festival has established itself as Sørlandets' largest food festival, with a particular focus on local food and drink. Since its inception in 2019, the festival has attracted an increasingly large audience, and in 2025 over 34,000 visitors were registered.
The festival offers a varied program with many exhibitors presenting taste experiences from the region. Visitors can enjoy food from street food trucks, as well as tastings from breweries and distilleries. In addition to food and drink, the festival includes entertainment such as stand-up shows with local comedians and evening concerts during the turf festival. There are also activities for children, making the festival a comprehensive experience for the whole family.
