Sørnorsk Filmsenter AS is a film center that has been in operation since September 1, 2008. The center's main purpose is to support the development of short and documentary films, as well as games in the early stages. From 2024, it will also be able to offer grants for long fiction formats. This makes Sørnorsk Filmsenter an important player for filmmakers and creative projects in the region.
The ownership of Sørnorsk Filmsenter AS consists of several county municipalities, including Agder, Vestfold and Telemark, as well as Kristiansand Municipality. Arendal Municipality acts as a partner. The center focuses on developing the industry and supporting young talents, which contributes to a varied and dynamic cultural life in Agder, Vestfold and Telemark.
