Rosegården Teaterhus in Kristiansand is a complete theatre house that offers both production and screening facilities. The theatre house is run by the Association for Amateur Theatres in Agder (FATA), which functions as a membership association for amateur theatre groups in the region. With more than 30 member groups, Rosegården is an important arena for scenic expression and theatre activity in Agder.
The theatre house has a focus on supporting and developing amateur theatre, and functions as a competence centre for amateur theatre activities. In addition to the theatre stage, which is equipped with lighting and sound, Rosegården is open to individuals and groups who wish to explore other scenic expressions. The theatre house also has a functioning Amateur Theatre Council in Vest-Agder (AVA), which helps to promote amateur theatre in the area.
