AKKS Kristiansand is an idealistic music organization that focuses on equality and diversity in the Norwegian music scene. The organization offers regular courses in vocals, guitar, piano, bass, drums and music production, as well as special activities such as LOUD! Songs for youth. Through these offerings, AKKS wants to engage young musicians and contribute to the development of local music communities.
In addition to the courses, AKKS Kristiansand offers rehearsal rooms that can be rented by musicians. These rooms are located in the basement of Samsen Kulturhus. The organization also organizes LydLounge every Wednesday, which provides an opportunity for socializing among musicians.
