The Vest-Agder Museum IKS has its administrative building on Odderøya in Kristiansand. The museum includes eleven different visitor attractions, which include open-air museums, a museum railway, and a living museum factory. It is also home to the Norwegian War Sailors Museum, a manor house, and an artist's home, which provide insight into the region's cultural history.
In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the museum offers a number of events and lectures that focus on local history. Theme days, such as knitting days, give visitors the opportunity to participate in activities that promote local culture and traditions. The museum also has a collection of historical photos from Agder, which help to preserve and communicate the region's history. For a complete overview of the various museums and activities, please refer to the museum's website.
