The UN Association Region Southwest, Kristiansand branch, is an organization that focuses on teaching and disseminating information about the UN and human rights. They offer various activities such as lectures, courses and UN role-playing, especially aimed at schools, organizations, businesses and municipalities. Through these activities, they want to raise awareness about the UN's work and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The organization has developed an educational platform that provides access to resources about different countries, statistics and maps, which can be useful for both teaching and disseminating information. The UN Association is also involved in youth entrepreneurship in collaboration with Ungt Entreprenørskap Norge, and has offices in several Norwegian cities, including Tromsø, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand and Oslo.
