Kristiansand Children's and Youth Theatre was established in 1964 and has since then offered theatre experiences for children, young people and adults. The theatre stages performances based on popular books and actively participates in national theatre projects and festivals. On the occasion of their 60th anniversary, they are planning a large-scale family performance, which marks their long-standing commitment to theatre arts.
The theatre invites new actors to join the productions, which provides opportunities for both experienced and beginners. Kristiansand Children's and Youth Theatre has also achieved recognition by winning the Junior National Theatre Championship. Critics have given high praise to their performances, which focus on creating joy and engagement among the audience.
