DNT Sør is the largest member association in Southern Norway in the Norwegian Tourist Association, founded in 1887. The association aims to facilitate good nature experiences for everyone, and works with marking and maintenance of the network, cabin operation, organizing trips and protecting outdoor areas. DNT Sør has 15 cabins that are strategically located in the mountains, in the surrounding area and by the sea.
The tourist center in Kristiansand city center offers comprehensive services related to outdoor life. Here, visitors can get hiking guidance and hiking tips, as well as help with choosing equipment and planning trips. The association has a wide selection of outdoor equipment from well-known brands, and DNT members receive a 15% discount on purchases. In addition, advice is offered on repairing and maintaining equipment, as well as adapting backpacks and packing lists for different trips. DNT Sør also organizes trips and activities for different age groups, with a focus on promoting nature experiences.
