The Association for Multiculturalism. Recovery work aims to promote public health and life skills among people with different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The organization focuses on inclusion, understanding and personal development, and offers a range of services such as courses, group and individual conversations. Through various activities, they work to break down prejudice and stigmatization, and emphasize community as an important part of self-care.
Among the projects run by the association are "Invite-Include-Integrate" and "All Life Matters", both of which aim to increase integration and improve the provision of trauma treatment. The organization also uses music as part of the recovery process, and creates safe meeting places for participation and conversation. The association works actively to provide hope, meaning, identity and community, especially within the area of mental health, and seeks to increase understanding of cultural values while working to eliminate stigma associated with mental health.
