Linnesstranda kindergarten was established in 1987 and is idyllically located by the Drammensfjord. The kindergarten offers 62 places for children aged 0-6 years, divided into three departments. One department is for toddlers, while the other two are for children aged 3-5 years. The kindergarten is located close to Gullaug School, Gilhusodden and a bird sanctuary, which provides opportunities for varied activities and exploration in the surrounding area.
The large outdoor area includes a gazebo and a campfire site, which gives children the opportunity to be active and participate in outdoor activities. Linnesstranda kindergarten emphasizes children's participation in everyday life, and has focus areas such as physical activity, social skills and language skills. This contributes to the holistic development of the children in the kindergarten.
