Noah's Ark Environmental Kindergarten AS is an environmental kindergarten that focuses on sustainability and nature. The kindergarten offers familiarization and transitions for the children, as well as an educational approach that includes an annual plan and a progression plan. There is an emphasis on responsibility for oneself, others and the environment, which is reflected in the kindergarten's vision of providing a good start for a safe future.
The ownership relationship with Norkirken Drammen gives the kindergarten an extended Christian value anchor, where Christian elements such as table verses, holiday celebrations and children's songs are integrated into everyday life. Noah's Ark is certified as an environmental lighthouse company, and has developed its own environmental action plan with goals and measures to protect the environment. The kindergarten also offers the opportunity for visits before applying for a kindergarten place, as well as birthday celebrations and planning days. Parents are involved through a cooperation committee and board of directors.
