The ski lodge Grendehus is a historic building that celebrated its 100th anniversary on December 21, 2021. Located in scenic surroundings near the Birkebeineren ski stadium, it is a popular venue for various events. Grendehuset has a board of five people who are responsible for operation and maintenance, with the goal of providing a local gathering point for teams, institutions and individuals in Ålsbygda and Lillehammer and the surrounding area.
The premises can be rented for a variety of occasions, including weddings, confirmations, Christmas parties and memorial services. Necessary tableware is available, as well as a cold room and refrigerators and freezers for use during events. The operating staff can provide advice on kitchen, serving assistance and catering, which may be of assistance to tenants. Grendehuset is open for all lawful purposes, but rentals are limited to adult companies in order to protect the neighborhood and the condition of the house.
